Creating a beautiful service together
Creating a beautiful service together
I have recently worked in the funeral industry as a funeral arranger where I helped families organise a funeral from start to finish and gained insight as to how bewildering the process can be. Often, families struggle to know how to put a funeral together and understand what their options are. Funerals are evolving today, and people wish to celebrate the life of the person they want to remember in more varied and personal ways. I want to help families put this together.
Funerals do not have to be religious in nature, but a service should be a bespoke reflection of the unique person and the life that they lead. I have lots of empathy, the ability to listen carefully and ask the right questions to get to the heart of the person that you wish to capture at the ceremony.
The ways of saying goodbye can be varied and interesting, and I will always work according to your personal wishes, whether it leans towards a traditional funeral or a natural burial (often called a woodland burial).
I grew up in Cumbria but emigrated to Canada where I spent twenty years of my life. During this time, I have met and worked with people from all walks of life and even lived on two native reserves, which taught me different perspectives of living your life.
I recently returned home to Cumbria and settled down in one of the most beautiful counties in the country. I busy myself in my allotment and have adopted a little dog that I love to bits. My life has always focused on helping people, especially at difficult times, and I consider it to be a privilege working with families at this time.
